The Honorary Title?

We have a UN simulation at our school. I'm the Head Delegate of the US. The stress is overwhelming, overpowering.

I wish I didn't feel so isolated in this. I'm in a powerstruggle with my second-in-command and it's unbearable.

We're both trying to fight for ideas and recognition but I know that deep down, we both wish we could pull out and just let the other take charge. This is one of the worst situations I've ever been in in my life.
I hate when schoolwork interferes with personal relationships. I'll just numb out with some Tumblr and Empire of the Sun.

Peace,

Honourable Head Delegate of the United States

P.S. hahahaha saying 'peace' was a little ironic, dontcha think? yes.

Baby, I was born on a train

LCBO protest

This weekend!

on saturday: we had the synagogue ceremony at 9am and that went on for a good two hours (sssssssleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeepppppp) and then we drove the Hyatt which is an upscale hotel in Toronto.
you're probably wondering; how did she get to the Hyatt from the synagogue?

actually, no you're probably not. but you'll wanna hear this anyway, maybe.
it was arranged that a stretch limo come and pick up the "kids" at the synagogue and bring them over to the hotel. after much hesitation and uncertainty, my mother managed to convince me to go in the limo with the 5 year old children. how very embarassing haha.

my second cousins came with me (aged 16 and 13) so it wasn't like i was lame all by myself, which helped. inside the limo it was pretty cramped, what with the children lounging with their DS' and chocolate milk, but i got to see the sites a little bit. there was a photographer in the limo too and i felt really bad when she took a few shots of me in and out of the limo, because i barely know the bar mitzvah boy and he'll look back at the pics later and be like who in FUCK is that in my limo?!

so we got to the Hyatt and had like hors d'oeuvres and crap for about an hour before heading to the rooftop for lunch. a really late lunch. it ended at around 4-5. so exhausting. i was sat with my mom and my uncle jimmy and his wife, but they made me move because jimmy's daughter wasnt feeling well so i gave up my spot so she could sit with her parents and i sat with my cousin michael at the table with the bar mitzvah boy's dad's COLLEAGUES.

honestly, the conversation went something like this...

me: so :) how are you guys related to the bar mitzvah boy?
one fo the couples at the table: oh, we work with Billy. i think all of us at this table have worked with him at some point or another :)
me: oh, hah, yeah.. nah i haven't
couple: ahahaha! good one
me: yeah.. ha...... ..

it was a fun day though, it's just that it dragged on for SO LONG! usually it's like a morning ceremony, we go home, and then there's dancing at nightbut this thing was weird we ended up being invited for drinks at the rooftop bar or whatever at the end of the lunch, but i was like falling asleep at my table, so i said screw it and went home with my great aunt and uncle, shirley and bob. they're the best people ever.
we got home and my other great aunt, norma, invited me over to her apartment for coffee. i went. its across the street from shirley's so it wasnt hard to get to her.
thing is, norma and my grandmother -- who was also there --, smoke like it's going out of style.
...which it is ;)

so when i lay down on her couch and subsequently fell asleep, i woke up with a massive headache and dry eyes from my contacts. good. times.

then my cousin erica called and invited me to hang out with her and her friends which was really nice!
we see each other maybe once every two years if there's ever a bar mitzvah in town haha
so i was nervous because we're obviously not that close and i didnt know her friends.

i decided to go despite my insaane fatigue
so i got changed and wet my contacts and bob gave me the keys to his house in case we came home late, and then i got picked up by erica and her friends.
i expected to be out on the town, maybe try to get into a few bars. i didnt know what to expect
but we ended up just going to her house and watching Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist with pumpkin ice-cream, haha!

they asked me a lot about my school system and asked me if it was true that anybody could get into clubs in montreal. it was a nice night.

on sunday: me and my mom were invited to a fancy brunch somewhere as a continuation of the bar mitzvah festivities.
then we went down to an LCBO (ontario liquor commission) with my great aunts to protest against people boycotting Isreali wine.
it was so crazy. there were so many people around the store with Isreali and Canadian flags, waving them around and singing. and then me and the aunties ran into the store in a frantic search for the section where they were selling the wine.
shirley got to it first and managed to get the two last reasonably priced bottles of isreali wine before it sold out. SOLD OUT.
see, what had happened was that apparently the rabbis at everyone's synagogues all over toronto had told their congregations about the boycott of isreali wine and asked everyone to go out to the LCBO on Yonge street and buy as many bottles as they could
so we sold out the store! and then after that, everyone was all leaving the store and i could overhear people going "omg they sold out? they sold OUT? thats amazing!" "i know right?! this is bringing a tear to my eye, i cant believe everyone just came together like this" it was cool.
so eventually there were more protestors than boycotters and the police had to escort the boycotters out of the area because they were being overpowered (everyone was shouting SHAME! SHAME! SHAME!).
as they were being led out of the parking lot, me and every other jew who was for Isreal started singing "NAH NAH NAH NAH, NAH NAH NAH NAH, HEY HEY HEY GOODBYE."

i had a good time :)

but then my auntie norma had to explain to me what the hell the boycott was about when we got in the car, because i had no idea what had just happened hahah

on the train home, there was a little girl (about 6 years old) sitting in the seat in front of me and my mom. i'd fallen asleep about 2 minutes after the train started moving.
when i awoke, my mom told me the little girl had turned to see me and said "is that your daughter? she's so pretty.. how old is she?"
mom: she's seventeen :)
girl: wow, a teenager!

i can't believe that happened. i was both flattered and amazed by her mature manner.

so i got home after, had mcd's for supper, got an e-mail from schryschry saying that i was no longer Uzbekistan in the UN and i would be co-head delegate of the US with Jesse D., and then i went to schleeeeeeep.

what an interesting turn of events in UN matters...
i foresee much stress and pain in the coming weeks.

Oo-ohh, habits die hard when you got a sentimental heart

ah. muh. guhd. i am so retardedly excited for hp6.

I'm listening to M. Ward at 12:05pm with my grapefruit breakfast. This might possibly be bliss.
What could only make this better would be a good book to read with all of this. I have Wuthering Heights sitting on my desk, but I've tried reading it three times already and couldn't.
It might have something to do with the fact that I've only ever picked up the book at midnight or later (or would midnight be considered earlier?) and usually ended up crashing by the time I'd gone through two lines.

The fact that Wuthering Heights is actually the topic of conversation in one of the Twilight books makes me wonder how high the read-count rose for the Bronte classic. Twelve year old girls were probably like "WHAT THE FUCK IS WUTHERING HEIGHTS?! WHY HAVE I NEVER HEARD OF IT BEFORE?! I NEEEEED IT! EDWAAAAAARD!"
Ahahhaha... aw.

Yeah, so I don't know about Wuthering Heights after all. Maybe Eclipse. That's not really a blissful sort of book - I mean, I'm sitting here with pleasant light coming through my window and this delicious grapefruit at my mercy and I don't think a book about infatuated vampires would really compliment the ambiance. No, probs not.
Whatever, I need to finish this series.
Although, maybe I won't read at all. IF my internet starts working properly, maybe I'll find some decent photographs to use for my drawings. Or maybe not.

Indecision. It's a beautiful, beautiful thing. It also happens to govern my life.

Driving away from the wreck of the day.

  • Lately, I've been following a strict diet of earl grey tea, apple-grape juice and Kirkland Signature cranberry juice (specifically). They all have designated times of drinkage. Yes.
  • I'm at peace when I am listening to Beirut and playing Minesweeper.
  • I stay up late every night usually out of habit, but lately, out of necessity.
  • I carry around an inumerable amount of insecurities. Some of them are stupid and some of them are normal, I guess.
I worry about my teachers liking me, my friends liking me, my best guy friend feeling comfortable around me now, whether or not I actually possess the smarts to succeed in college, whether or not I will one day be like Kate in "The Go-Getter"...

No, let's face it

1. Zooey Deschanel is as unique as it gets and I could never be like her.
2. My teachers might like me sometimes for my personality, but sometimes I can be really sucky when it comes to actually paying attention in their classes.

...aaaand as for the other points, I'm kind of too lazy to get into any more detail. The two mentioned above are the two things that are bothering me most right now, anyway.

I think what I was trying to get at though, before I got off track, was:

I want my life to be like in The Go-Getter. I want spontenaity and awkwardness. I want honesty and freedom of expression, without fear of being judged. I want an adventure and a purpose. I want a boy like Mercer in my life.

Actually... to be perfectly honest with you, there is a boy like Mercer in my life...
Unfortunately our situation is different and we will never be possible. In fact, it is likely that we'll never even meet properly.
*Sigh* I seem to be volontarily creating problems for myself all over the place.

I don't know what else to say.

I'm going to go have a midnight snack, grab Eclipse from my sister's room and read in bed.
Alternatively, I may decide to go have a bath since I'm so sore from ruggers. We'll see.

This blog is mostly for my personal gratification, however I will fill you in nonetheless.

This was not my initial blogger account. My first one was here, however, after a time I lost the information about the account
i.e. my password and username -- I know, how did I manage that?
So basically all I could recall was my URL, which I suppose is good enough. Can't be too ungrateful!
That is why I have decided to transfer all of my blog posts from my old account to this one to create order and so that I can secure a single blogging account.

OK glad we got that all cleared up.
Well, I'm pretty tired right now so I won't get all deep on ya, but here's the status basically;
I have decided not to go to school tomorrow because there's a student council event and it's a half day anyway, so I figure why not take the chance to sleep in?
I've been slacking off like MAD because of tumblr and facebook and so I've done 0 homework. So proud.
I am contemplating starting a Wordpress account.
...But then again, what would be the point? I'd have 3 blogs. That's lame. Whatever, I'll make an account just to see what it's like.

Finally, here are my current celeb crushes:
Robert Pattinson
Zac Efron (heeheeeeeeeeee)
Ellen DeGeneres

Rupert Grint

Zooey Deschanel

Edilson Nascimento
James Franco

Just thought you oughta know, haha...

Bueno! I think I'm gonna sleep now!
Or read Midnight Sun off of my iPod!
Hasta luego! Adios!
x

ps: i'll try to be more interesting next time, once i have a few more hours of sleep on me

And if I die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take

hi.
so yeah, it's definitely been a while.
things have changed since last post, i guess.
i might have gained a few, drank a few & had a few laughs in the time we've spent apart, but i'm still the same person so no worries.

i started a new tumblr blog called Hunk du Jour. it's sort of a joke, but also very entertaining and possibly useful for future art projects, as most of the guys i have on it have amaaaazing faces (except some not so much)

guess what i'm doing?
avoiding homework! i don't think that aspect of me has changed at all.
i'm pretty much fucked for school tomorrow.
not new news whatsoever, i guess. haa!
PB was relatively fun. the afterparty was a wreckkkkkkkkk (that's both good and bad i spose!)

i'm trapped in my mind again lately. can't stop thinking about my problems. i have these things called Worry Dolls that my mom gave me a million years ago that i should probably re-hash tonight and use.
They're supposed to take away my worries if i use them. I don't think I've used them since circa 1998 and my worries probably consisted of "it might rain tomorrow so i won't be able to go to the park" or some shit.
i think f i try telling the little dolls about my worries i'll be up all night!
and that alone is a worry in itself. shit - add one to the long, long list.

anyway, i should probably go and do some homework before i have a mental breakdown or something. i'm excited for the worry dolls. i'll get them out of my drawer, dust em off and maybe take a picture of them for my 365. shit, here comes that wave of nostalgia.

arrright i'm off ladies n gents

ps: The Prayer - Kid Cudi. HIGHLY recommended.
pps: i finally beat Minesweeper AND we made it into the variety show!! :)

Yes hello we're back and we're taking calls. Now what was the question?

I hate school. Can't wait to get the fuck out.

i'm so close to beating the shit out of Minesweeper
i have my online friends to escape to when i feel like shit and they are GEMS :)
i have a few good 'real' friends too.
i have a new moleskine. i need to break it in. everytime i think about doing so, i get really excited. but then i never do it.
we're getting 3 fucking newly renovated bathrooms. YES.

bad things in my life:
i think i just semi-witnessed a suicide today off the st john overpass.
i feel like i'm losing my very best friend.
my marks in possibly every class are going down.
my very best friend has still not replied to my text.
i feel alone.
i haven't felt truly compelled to do any sort of work in FOREVER. i'm like a dead soul or something. unconscious, uncaring; blank.

i don't know what to do.

plus i'm getting fat.
